Drawings Made In 2010

Show At Soupcon in Wakefield

Some pictures from my show with Fen Prior-Delahanty at Soupcon in Wakefield, Quebec. My work consisted of two etchings, two silkscreen prints, a monoprint and two embroideries in one room and Fen showed drawings from her travels in the other room. The work was up for the month of September.

The Magnificent Camera Realita!

An imaginary camera called "The Camera Realita" that captures all five senses. The sight, smell, sound, touch and taste of the image of Mount Royal can all be experienced by a patron who dares enter.

Cloth+Smell

Four weavings made for four people in the colours I associate with them. When the weavings were completed I asked each person to put them somewhere intimate in their room. Either under their pillow or in their laundry basket. They were intended to take on the unique smell of the person. In these photographs, they are seen in a science-inspired display.

Group Project with Sprouts

This group project was completed last year in Art X. It was created as a response to an assignment about institutional critique. A group of five of us put together a "growth station" within the EV building. It was complete with pillows, drawing supplies, paper, seeds, water and plastic ziploc bags. We invited passersby to sit with us and draw in a comfortable setting. They were prompted with the line: Create something you want to see grow. Each artist then placed their drawings in ziploc bags with seeds and water. The seeds became seedlings that interacted with the drawings. We then installed the drawings in the display case on the eighth floor of the EV building.
